In Adriano Olivetti’s intentions, the title “Società Stato Comunità” was meant to indicate the evolution of human organization towards the ultimate goal of “Community.” Adriano Olivetti had already dedicated the book “L’ordine politico delle Comunità” (1945) to the community project, and this anthology, published in 1952, served as a theoretical deepening in relation to it. But in the twelve essays collected here, there is much more. Adriano Olivetti as a political thinker is clearly evident, and one fully grasps the spirit that has always driven his efforts, aimed at “reintroducing spaces of freedom into society,” as stated in the introduction note to this new edition.
